Course description

Overview: Students will explore and identify the functions of Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0. They'll install Proxy Ser ver 2.0 and SP1. They'll discover Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 architecture, administer Proxy Server, manage security by controlling inbound and outbound access, and configure Proxy Server for secure Web publishing. They'll configure and use packet filtering, install and configure Remote Access Service, configure multiple installations of Proxy Server, plan a Proxy Server deployment, monitor and tune Proxy Server, and troubleshoot Proxy Server. This course prepares students for exam 70-088, Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0.

Prerequisites: Essentials of Microsoft Networking, Windows NT 4.0: System Administration, Implementing and Supporting TCP/IP on Windows NT 4.0, and Internet Information Server 4.0 Web Site Administration, or equivalent knowledge.

Delivery method: Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.
